Shepherd’s hooks with solar lanterns in our back garden. I just love the foxglove plants!

It’s still February in New England. That means it’s cold and the ground is snow covered. Dreaming of the outdoors and being in the garden help me make it through the dreary days of winter. We have a beautiful, sun-filled yard and are surrounded by trees. We have worked hard to add lots of flower beds and a vegetable garden. We have also added patio space to sit and enjoy our backyard which includes patio furniture and lighting. Every year we add another element that makes our yard feel more magical. I hope you enjoy these products and please do share ones that you love too!

I have two of these garden hose holders - one for the front yard and one for the back. It is great for a variety of reasons. It looks great with the matte, black metal frame and a little scroll detailing. It was a cinch to install. Just push it into the ground and your ready to go. It’s stable and sturdy because of the base design and width. So it never moved once we pushed it into the ground even with all the hose jostling. I do recommend bringing it in for the winter, if like us, you get a lot of snow. The connector is prone to rust. The connector is great. We were able to put the hose close to the driveway using a connecting hose. We also added a hose splitter so we could have one hose for the vegetable garden and one hose for the lawn.

My dad liked this garden kneeler that I bought him so much I got one for my husband. He uses it all the time. It’s great for weeding and planting. He’s even used it on some driveway and indoor projects to protect his knees from the driveway or hard floor. Our little 8 year old has also snagged it as an impromptu seat when sitting to blow bubbles, get skates on, etc.

This trellis has been a great addition to the garden. I have two currently holding up my climbing rose and they look great. It was an extremely easy set up and install. Having the two next to each other has provided an addition bonus of blocking my trash can area from the street. It has held up to several harsh New England winters with no damage.

I have been amazed at how much I love this garden edging. We have created a lot of flower beds over the years and this garden edging makes it so easy. Once you have the general design of your bed and you’ve cleared the area of grass, you just lay this edging out and pound the plastic spikes into the ground. It never moves. You can then add your plants and mulch. It’s literally that simple and looks great!

I have had this watering can since 2017 and it’s great! I t’s big, holding 2 gallons, which is great so you don’t have to go back and forth to the hose or water barrel that often. You can use the attached sprinkler head for a soft flow of water, or unscrew it and have a more directed stream for plants you want to water at the base.

My sister bought me these great solar garden lanterns (see top picture), but I didn’t want to leave them sitting on ground. I found these 3 foot shepherd’s hooks and just love seeing my lights in the garden every summer. They have kept their matte black color through all the weather. Again I recommend bringing them in during the winter. You could also use these cute hooks for small hanging planters, bird feeder or other garden art.

What’s a garden without a bird bath? My mother bought this for me last year and I love it. It’s simple, pretty and sturdy. Again, I brought it inside to protect it from the New England weather. I love that it is pretty and dainty and will not overpower all the flowers in the garden.

My sister recommended this great bee watering station and it is definitely on this list this year. We have had alternating years of drought. We have a bee friendly garden with lots of plants the bees love, but I also want to ensure they have enough water. How cute is this solution!?
